Description

A leading international renewable‑energy organisation is seeking an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Project Developer with strong commercial acumen to support the strategic and financial development of O&M activities across a diverse portfolio of clean‑energy assets. This role sits within a global team focused on delivering competitive, sustainable, and scalable lifecycle solutions for renewable‑energy projects.

Role Purpose

The O&M Project Developer will play a key part in shaping the commercial framework for O&M offerings across multiple technologies. The position centres on financial modelling, cost optimisation, commercial structuring, and market analysis to ensure bankable and cost‑effective O&M solutions from early‑stage development through execution. The role collaborates closely with business development, engineering, supply chain, and asset‑management functions to enable long‑term value creation across operating assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct commercial analysis of O&M cost structures to maintain competitive, realistic budgets across an operating portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, cost assumptions, and pricing databases related to O&M activities.
  • Contribute to analysis such as Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE) to support plant design and lifecycle optimisation.
  • Provide commercial input and budget alignment across project decision‑gate processes, including integration with engineering, EPC activities, and financial‑model assumptions.
  • Support development of O&M strategies, business cases, and commercial packages for new and existing projects.
  • Perform market and competitor benchmarking, supplier identification, and support tender/RFP processes linked to O&M scopes.
  • Assist with contract reviews, identifying opportunities for portfolio‑wide efficiencies and long‑term service agreements.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to enhance O&M development processes and ensure consistent technical and commercial standards.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, accounting, or a related technical/commercial field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the renewable‑energy sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modelling and commercial evaluation.
  • Ability to work in cross‑functional environments and contribute to the optimisation of complex, multi‑technology portfolios.
