Role Purpose

As part of major nuclear projects, the company is seeking an experienced HVAC / Building Services Engineer. The role involves contributing to the design and integration of ventilation and air‑conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory and nuclear safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

On a day‑to‑day basis, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reading, understanding and interpreting system documentation, including mechanical schematics and associated technical deliverables
  • Designing and analysing HVAC networks and their components (dampers, fans, associated equipment), in line with current market standards and best practices
  • Applying principles of layout, routing and support of HVAC systems
  • Implementing functional HVAC system design principles
  • Ensuring compliance with general installation rules and HVAC‑specific requirements, including assembly, operation and maintenance constraints
  • Working closely with other engineering disciplines within a highly regulated project environment

Candidate Profile

This position is ideally suited to a qualified HVAC / Building Services Engineer with proven experience in the nuclear sector. A minimum of five years’ relevant experience is required. Proficiency in E3D design software is essential. The role requires strong technical rigour, autonomy, and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
